PERSONAL BACKGROUND
"If you would have told me ten years ago that I would some day be
doing this work, I would have laughed. Nothing was further from my mind," states Sharon.
Sharon began a career in marketing with a major communications company in the late '70's.
In 1985, she left that career to have and raise three children. In 1990, a severe injury
changed her life completely. Muscle and nerve damage weakened the left side of her body.
After 7 months of physical therapy, Sharon was released from care in spite of
considerable constant pain.
"Although the strengthening exercises were absolutely important, I always felt that the BEST
part of physical therapy was the relatively limited massage work. I was told that they had
done all that they could for me, and I didn't know how I would cope with the daily pain."
"I began to see a Massage Therapist on a weekly basis. After about 2 1/2 months, my pain
level began to drop, and the quality of my life increased."
"I knew I had discovered one of life's gifts. And I knew that I wanted to learn everything
I could about the art and science of therapeutic massage, and help other people with it."
